Yeah - I saw that. End of february kinda sucks. Plus, it's a different tv - it's the industrial model. By the time you add in a stand, speakers (did yours' come with any speakers?), and hdmi card, it's more expensive.

But it does have picture in picture, which I haven't used in like ever.

go to zobotv by carolina place mall...they don't cost as much as you think. you can save even more by finding the equip yourself and doing your own isntall. for what you pay for a decent HD plasma...you can get a decent project, screen, receiver, and speakers.

I hung mine, and didn't want non-surround speakers, so it was good. You need to do surround....

You should stop by and check mine out before you jump on. If I had to do it again - I'd still buy the EDTV. It's fucking cheap, and it looks great.

and be unable to watch it during daylight hours, have a warm-up period and potentially loud fan, have to mount the screen and projector somewhere, etc. etc.

Great for a dedicated home theater room, not good for day-to-day TV and movies...

ed sucks compared to hd. watched the panthers game on an ed, came back and watched again on hd and hd made it look nearly twice as good.

Depends on the screen - and also the distance from the screen. I watched 4 or 5 different ones (ED, HD, DLP, LCD, PLASMA) of the same event - only one HD was much better, and it was LCD.

Yeah..I’ve got a theatre room that has the miracle of drapes on the windows…warm up period is less than 20 seconds…fan is virtually silent…screen and projector are easy to isntall.
