Drafting a wideout is not a good option for us they take too long to develop. We need a good wideout to take pressure off Smith right away. I have mentioned Eric Moulds who will probably be available this offseason. He may be too pricey for us though. Can anyone think of any other decent guys who might be out there? I figure Proehl will retire. That will leave us with Smith, Colbert and Carter. We need a good veteran to be our number two receiver.

I'm not aware that Eric Moulds is a UFA or a RFA....

David Givens is intriguing, I wonder what he will cost.

Wayne's gonna cost a ton. You may as well forget about him now. Robinson with his off the field baggage isn't an option either most likely.

With the attention Smitty is drawing any decent wideout should be able to have a good season and put up 1000 yards and five touchdowns. I never thought Colbert would fail so miserably. If we bring in a guy like Givens or Moulds and they end up facing single coverage all day we could be really good on offense.

I would rather draft a running back but wideouts usually do not do much until their third year.

I thought Givens would have been worth *gulp* first-round compensation last year. In hindsight, I was a little horny for a wide out at the time, though he would have been as valuable, if not more valuable, to our team in 2005 than Thomas Davis was.

But he had a pretty decent year and was used as a return guy and "seems" to have righted the ship a little. Who could be his "big brother" to keep his ass in line. That and he is from NC.
