Ok, I have fabricated a plan that the Panthers will be able to use to get us over the top next year while keeping it legal (Hopefully: Note that my plan is all pending on the legality of this situation with the NFLPA and NFL, as well as many other legal jargon)...John Fox comes out and says (or secretly) which Free Agent acquisition would be most helpful to the Panthers as a whole for 2006...Examples...Eric Moulds, Shaun Alexander, Walter Jones, etc...Then, there will be a fund (provided through possibly Bank of America merely for the legitimacy of the situation so that people will know that this is not a scam) which every Panther fan, far and near, will be able to give, say $10-$50 to which will allow us to go out and sign one of the most sought after free agents on the market. This will allow us to re-sign WW (hopefully) as well as sign the free agent to a veteran's minimum and the fans will be providing the majority of the players signing bonus. This will give the player guaranteed money and ensure our trip into next years SB. While the chances are very little for this to happen, it is possible. I have already raised $1,100 between myself and one other. This could be our ticket to Super Bowl 41!!! Helpful critiquing is welcome...calling me an idiot is not.

I am thinking that thousands of dollars I send in every March for season tickets does that. I am missing something?

Easterbrook talked about something like this in his column the other week as a way for teams to get around the salary cap. It wasn't fan donated, but had to do with appearance money or endorsements.

I also am a PSL owner, yet I still would be more than willing to throw some cash at the Panthers to get a quality player if we are cash strapped. I question your commitment to this team.

Yeah, Fanz is a real Bandwagoner. I bet prior to 1990, he had never even HEARD of the Carolina Panthers.

Hey, do you throw extra money at the educational insitutions in your community? If not, I question your commitment to children...
