Our whole team sucked today. You can not just blame it on the QB. There are several areas where we are weak and have been all year that we need to address instead of QB. We need a second wideout who can do something. Carter may be fine as a fourth receiver you bring in to stretch the field but we have no one we can depend on when they put "four guys" on Smith. We also need a real feature back.

I would love to see us sign a guy like Eric Moulds and then draft a good tailback.

Not that I'm condoning the play of Delhomme, but he was hardly in position to succeed. His line isn't blocking, his playcalling (at least early on, when it mattered) was terrible and his starting RB was knockedthefuckout.

Our whole team played poorly I agree with that and let me also say that I do NOT want to replace Jake, but there is no doubt that he played terrible today.

I understand that this is motived by passion, but there is no way we will find a QB comparable to Jake in the offseason. So we can put this to rest. We'll need to address other things, like a real starting running back, instead of signing another qb.

Delhomme is as good as his running game. What's the difference between all of the other teams in the title games. THEY HAVE GOOD RUNNING BACKS! When Foster runs well, Delhomme throws well, and tonight we had no running game because we didn't even have a running back. It's easy to get picked off that many times when there is a 99% chance of them knowing you are gonna pass.

The other thing we miss is a second option at wide out. Carter may be a decent option one day but we do not have a guy who can fill that role now.

It might behoove us to leave Smith out of this last series. :twocents:
