Panthers | Peppers says he will play in the NFC Championship game
    Sun, 15 Jan 2006 18:27:06 -0800

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers DE Julius Peppers (shoulder) said after the team's Week 19 playoff game that his right shoulder injury was "fine" and that he had "no doubt" he would play against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22.

Peppers said he would play, not the doctors. Every player says the same thing initially. I want him in there, but I'll see how his status is as of Friday, before I breathe a sigh of relief.

I thought it wasn't as bad as previously thought when he came back on the sidelines and his arm wasn't supported by a sling or anything. just a stinger. Good news. Now to put Foster on IR and get another body in there. If we stay with Goings, Smart and Robertson maybe we can shore up somewhere else??

He got off the bus in a sling which was called "precautionary".

He was wearing a sling last night when he got back to the stadium.
