    Moon maybe, but whatever.

I would think the guys are gonna play this game very close to the vest on offense. Forcing the run even if it isnt working and only throwing when there is a favorible matchup.

I think if we win the toss we elect to kick and proceed with a battle of field position.

I think on defense we employ a similar game plan to the Giant game, shut down the run and make a guy beet you who has played 7 games in his career.

First person that blinks looses. Turnovers should be huge unless it is the equivilant of a punt. Utter slobber knocker punch you in the mouth ground chuck football.

I will miss the first hour of the game live which means I'll have to catch up on Tivo fastforward until I can catch up in order to watch it in HD.

I am getting pretty stoked because if we use a similar plan to the Giant game I think we can win by 2 scores.

You can't defer in the NFL. If you win the toss, you can pick to either recieve or pick which endzone you want to defend. if you pick which endzone, the other team gets the ball first for both halves.

Would that really be a bad idea, though? I guess it would depend on our inconsistent kick coverage, but if we could start them around their 20 both times then they'd need at least a couple of first downs not to give us advantageous field position.

    not exactly

    Coin Toss
    1. The toss of coin will take place within three minutes of kickoff in center of field. The toss will be called by the visiting captain before the coin is flipped. The winner may choose one of two privileges and the loser gets the other:

    (a) Receive or kick

    (b) Goal his team will defend

    2. Immediately prior to the start of the second half, the captains of both teams must inform the officials of their respective choices. The loser of the original coin toss gets first choice.

Kasay... seems he's started off games strong, distance is good, but as the game goes on he gets shorter. Maybe give them the ball to start and hope we can tackle on the return.

    I don't know about that.

Kasey's kicks were pretty good later in the NY game.

I think he gets longer kickoffs after field goals for obvious reasons.

How about just for this one game, we put Smitty on kickoff returns. That way we have a chance to score or atleast get really good field position. It could be key in this game more than any other we have or will play this year.

Smitty is smart. He knows that Kickoff returns are far more dangerous than punt returns. If we're lucky, there will only be one kickoff return by the Panther's anyway but LOTS of punt return opinions.
