    Parade All American

started for the East team at the US Army all star game

probably would have gone to Notre Dame if he wanted to play football (or both)

I think he was USA Today's Mr. Basketball and Mr. Football, but I had read from various sources that he was pretty overrated as a football prospect and really had no shot at ever making the NFL anyway, which is why it was so easy for him to give up the sport.

Don't know if you respect Lemming or not but that certainly wasn't his opinion of Paulus.

Yeah, I know Lemming was up Paulus' ass and tried to get him to go to Notre Dame, but Lemming isn't any kind of legitimate analyst. I'm talking about actual scouts and people employed by NFL teams. When cited anonymously by ESPN and others, they all agreed that it was a longshot for him to ever play professional football. Given his small stature (6'1", 185) and general lack of arm strength, is that really a surprise to anyone? His speed and agility would have allowed him to play at the college level, but no further.

since 99% of dook fans pull for a different school in football, maybe the NCAA should have allowed Paulus to do likewise....play b-ball for dook, but football for FSU/MIAMI/ND/USC etc...
