Cowboys | Contract update: B. Parcells
    Fri, 6 Jan 2006 16:12:25 -0800

Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells' new two-year contract is worth $5 million (2006) and $6 million (2007). "I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue what we have started here," Parcells said in a news release. "The Cowboys organization has been the fairest of fair to me, and hopefully I can repay them with an improved performance."

    Saints to interview Capers... LOL

I got this from the Saints board.

Jim Henderson just reported on WWL-TV that Dom Capers will interview with Tom Benson in Texas in the next few days.

No link...it was on television just a few moments ago.

Good luck to Capers, I wish him well, but surely no one wants him as a headcoach. Maybe a defensive coordinator?

Anybody besides me thinking that the NO gig would not have alot of takers? With everything is pretty much in the shitter down there. Of course IMO Capers would be a good fit because it would be a good deal like starting an expansion team.

I was just speculating that with their core talent and before Capers gets a chance to fuck things up with his type players, he just might be able to have a pretty good 1st season. Of course, it's to the dumpster within 3 seasons after that.

I'm totally in favor of the Saints hiring Dom Capers, in the event that Rich Kotite can't be reached.
