    Good point.

It is worth noting that Pep is moved around quite a bit. I've seem him weakside playing off the line in some games. Keeping the opponent and their blocking schemes guessing is the best way to use him.

It usually draws a double team if your LDE is Julius Peppers, but other than that I'm not aware of every LDE drawing a double team.

He played over the center on the first field goal we blocked against Dallas.

    He blocked it.

I am talking about base D not special teams.

strong side equals the side the tight end lines up on, usually the right side of the offense or the left side of the defense.

Speaking of Peppers, what changed for him from the first several games this year compared to the rest of the season? His play wasn't really different or used differently, was the start just a bad stretch of not getting to the QB?

Technique and aggressiveness. He isn't standing up and trying to slide inside like he was early in the year. Now he's staying low and making a strong move towards the quarterback.

I do agree with the aggressive part, I think his confidence was down until he got the first sack. Guess things like that can play on your mind a little.

Fox's theory...Strahan played left too, it's all about mismatches, your best guy against their weaker guy

Personally, I think the line would be better with Pep on the right because that would put Ruck one on one with a weaker guy, Pep would still draw the double team, but he would be so much more dangerous coming from the QB's blind side...
