Rumor also has it that the NY Giants might be looking at Don Caper as their DC.

That makes no sense to me. Why would they go to a 3-4?

"There's a good chance the Giants already know the identity of Lewis' replacement. Dom Capers, fired yesterday as head coach of the Texans, could resurface here next season. Capers worked for Coughlin as the defensive coordinator in Jacksonville and the two remain very close."

    That help?

just because they hire Capers doesn't necessarily make them a 3-4 Defense. He coached a 4-3 when he was the DC in Jax.

Dom ran the 4-3 in Jax; matter of fact, current DC Tim Lewis was a 3-4 man in Pittsburgh. However, Lewis would have to be fired, or hired by a team as a HC (he's got interviews, but IMO it's because he's minority, not qualified).

Wow. I didn't realize he ran both in JAX. Are you guys sure about that? I seem to remember him taking a lot of his old Jags in the expansion draft when he got the Houston job because Jacksonville was one of the few teams running the 3-4 at the time. Maybe I'm totally wrong about that, though.

He did take guys like Gary Walker, but they did run the 4-3 pretty much exclusively.
