No question. We lost the division for sure, and probably lost a playoff spot. This team always makes bad teams look good. Time for change.

I thought some of the calls were fucked up, but we put ourselves in position to lose this game. I am still pissed at Smith, maybe he should not have been thrown out of the game, but he should know better then to even touch a Ref. He is our leader on offense and he can not lose composure everytime Delhomme looks at the first option only. He should not have touched the ref period. The last play looked like a block and was a bogus call, but its not like the defense every stepped up except for Peppers. 200 + rushing yards allowed? to Dallas? We were damn lucky to have a chance to win this game. And except for the two bombs to Proehl we had little effectiveness on offense. How many three and outs did we have in a row in the second half till that final drive?

Im not too mad at Smith. Theres lots of instances players grab the ref's shirt to plead a case.

Im mad at the defense. Im mad at the coaches for never knowing how to prepare this fucking team. Im mad at the players. Im mad at everyone, I guess. Enough is enough. SOmething has got to give. There are no more excuses.

You see Panther Fans, Fox has this theory that if you hold the O back with safe plays until the other team takes the lead, then the O can air it out; we miracuously take the lead; the D then will be in the position to cause turnovers and we win. Yahooo, this is bullshit. I wonder what Gibbs could do with this team/

Hold the O back? I didn't feel that's what happened today. We were vertical as hell.

Yes, let's fire Fox, Henning, and Trgovac for only getting us to 10 wins (at least) this season.

although it ultimatly falls on fox...i would rather just the two coordators let go and get someone for both who can prepare and adjust because the two we have never have the players very prepared and they never adjust. but if it takes getting rid of fox to do that then oh well. we have the players to do the job they just need a whole lot better coaching than what their getting. the playcalling on both sides sucks royally. i think with fox's motivation skills and better coordators we would be a much much better team.

Draft's right. Their scheme or not (again, one guy goes from flanking formation to left, to flanking right, and three DL and two linebackers have to shift?), we tackle better, we stay in our gaps, and we've got it.

So meanwhile, the ongoing offensive playcalling discussion:
I can't call Henning's plays this week "bad". Not a ton of ill-timed, useless draws. Certainly, he knows how to pull the trigger on a deep pass at the right time, even if he doesn't always find ways to make the defense worry about other things. At no point did any of the three deep Dallas defenders on that INT worry about anything other than Proehl.

Second week in a row with a trick play, which I can do without. I don't want to see Foster try to throw next week.
No offensive continuity, though. Foster should've been better, seemed like he could've gotten more done outside. We didn't run right at Ware and Glover enough, which was a weak run spot.
No more swing passes and screens to Mangum. He catches it, and he gets a couple yards, but those are opportunity passes. I'd rather see Mangum near the sideline on a corner route taking advantage of space between the short sideline/flat zone player, and the deep zone sideline man, and taking the square outs/crossing patterns. Leave swing passes, screens, 0 routes, and the like to receivers with good feet and our backs.

Those dink passes upfield to the TE are worth yards. Yards keep drives alive. They also work well with playaction, which we run the shit out of (and yet never seem to sell the fake well enough with). Keeping drives alive = ball control. We, as an offensive decision making process, want to either run the ball down the field most of a drive, or want to run to set up better field position to eschew worrying about actually getting the first down, or throw up the deep ball too much to worry about getting a first down.
