Smitty. 2 TDs, 105 total yards.

Lucas. Played much tighter today in coverage. Played Horn a lot, and he had only 1 catch.

Spoon had a pretty good day as did Minter. Don't know about game ball worthy...maybe the Saints should get one for playing so poorly?

Really, kind of a dull performance overall. Smith always stands out, outside of that you really gotta look for someone deserving.

I'm giving one to Jake for the TD run and at least trying to mix it up some.

Agree except for Minter. He had a decent day except for being out of position on the Stallworth TD.

Only able to look at stats but Foster seemed to have a pretty good day almost averaging 4 yards a carry.

    Smith.

Maybe Lucas, maybe not. I still didn't see the killer instinct I wanted to see. He wasn't giving hits, he was taking them, and he wasn't really on quite as well as I wanted.

But he was certainly a lot better than Gamble. And his INT wasn't a gimme, it was a hard fought ball.

Baker. 4 punts, 3 inside the 20. And return coverage - held them to literally few yards, a FF. I'd damn near give Davis a game ball if he hadn't whiffed on defense on that late run.

Not Foster - he didn't do enough with what he was given. Not the DL, even though they got some pressure. No sacks, and too much time too often.

    Those two had some drops.

On all the coaches view I saw, Lucas had his guy covered. Took that one hit, but he played like a man.

I never saw that phantom hold on Gamble.

Offensive line played pretty well after that one sack and fumble. And even that one Jake just held a little too much. 161 total yards rushing was a big key as we went with the committee approach.

Oh, and some may not want to hear it, but Carstens was a beast today. He got owned week one, of course having to play the whole game. But he and Buck really closed down the interior running lanes, and Carstens made several plays fighting through blocks to get the ball carrier at the LOS.

Can't deny that he has played well. The proof is in the results.

Jake. I think he held the ball too long on the fumble, but otherwise smart AND intense. I loved the TD draw.

Smitty, for playing like a maniac while sick.
