Critical. Win that game and we're in the playoffs. Lose it, not so good.

That one game is all we should need.

Yesterday the Panthers played like they did vs. the saints to miss the playoffs in 2004.

KC dominated them for much of that game yesterday and I am still perplexed at how Dallas won that game. We will need to play up for that game for sure. Dallas seems to me to be a bit like us in that some weeks they look pretty good and some games they make you wonder what they are doing.

Marion Barber and Julius Jones is a nice combo for them but Terry Glenn is a MAN. Also I noticed Bledsoe, even though being pressured and sacked a few times, never lost his composure and really didnt make many mistakes at all.

Their Defense didnt particularly impress me last night, but hey they did win and KC does have a heck of an offense.

I don't think it's that grave. We can win one more game and make it, particularly if that game is against Dallas.

I think there will be one or more NFC team that finishes 10-6 and does not make the playoffs this year. It has only happened 3 times in NFL history that a 10-6 team does not go. Last team was '03 Dolphins. Our loss yesterday really mucked up the NFC playoff picture.

It's critical from the divisional standpoint. Although tied with Tampa overall, we're a game down in the division standings. We can't afford another loss in the division. We needed that game yesterday for margin of error if nothing else. This team can still not make the playoffs. A lot of good all those plaudits and press clippings will do them then.

I think Win Dallas and we are okay but we do need to go 2-1 in the last 3 to not "need help." Interestingly enough, we may need the Vikings to lose to Chicago or we are in trouble. Chicago has the head-to-head win against us and would push us out of the wildcard spot is TB stays on top.
    Important games next week:

NEW YORK (NYG) -- Kansas City -- Sat, Dec 17 at 5:00 pm
MINNESOTA -- Pittsburgh -- Sun, Dec 18 at 1:00 pm
NEW ENGLAND -- Tampa Bay -- Sat, Dec 17 at 1:30 pm
    -------
NEW ORLEANS -- Carolina -- Sun, Dec 18 at 1:00 pm
WASHINGTON -- Dallas -- Sun, Dec 18 at 4:15 pm
CHICAGO -- Atlanta -- Sun, Dec 18 at 8:30 pm

Looking at the second set, what "help" do you want to see this week? I assume Washington over Dallas but do you want the Vikings to catch the Bears or Atlanta to lose? Or does it depend on tonight's outcome?

Man I'm fucking worried about the Saints game, don't even get me started thinkin' about the Cowboys yet. If the same team shows up that played Sunday even the Aint's will whip our asses (not like they haven't beaten this team already this season). I could very easily see the Panthers losing all three games coming up.

yep. not even thinking about Dallas. they could lose all three or win all three.

The Panthers worry me more than any of the next opponents.

bright side? the Panthers were 3-3 down the stretch in the SB year

Has anyone seen the last couple of plays of the Dallas/KC game? I haven't been able to catch any highlights and I want to know if the holding call at the end was a load of shit or legit.
