Anyone remember that awesome Marshall Faulk commercial from his Colt days, probably 97 or so, when it was just him running and they were throwing all kinds of shit at him?

That's like this thread. Which was a lot funnier when Ron White told it.

But seriously. Seventy able bodied men, all standing seventeen feet tall, in full armor, charged on Riddel with diamond-tipped axes and flesh-eating dogs, and they almost succeeded in felling him, but then Godzilla toppled him once and for all. Purr was stormed like Tiffany at a New Jersey mall and a wave of thousands were biting at his ankles as he slowly drug them out to the parking lot, where he finally got bored of it all, went to sleep, and found himself tied to the ground using entire mountains.

Seriously, I'm proud of y'all, and I wouldn't pick at this particular subject if the door wasn't open but try not to make it sound like 2nd Armored stormed your beachhead and you held them off.

Sounds like the place I used to bounce at, you square off with one and get nailed from behind by others. A buddy of mine owned it and asked me to work there to help keep the staff in line. There were situations just like yours where I had to be the one to pull our guys out of shit they had no business being in in the first place.
Once it goes outside, it goes outside...the staff DOES NOT! If you go outside, your off the clock at that time and thusly the bars lawyers won't back you...your on your own. That's how we played it.

That said, I know your pissed, but you gotta consider that going after them legally is a lose-lose situation. You said you are the outsider, the second the lawyer showed everybody got thier story straight and you somehow threw the first punch and stated the whole thing, they were defending themselves...that will be the story of every regular in the joint.
Trust me, going after them legally isn't going to get you anywhere but it will get your lawyer some easy money. Going after them directly probably won't cut it either. If the guy is a cop, he'll have you twisted in so many ways. Best bet is to wait for a chance encounter when it is a one-on-one situation...which may never happen.

Not trying to tell you what to do here, just giving you some friendly advice from someone who knows how things like this tend to play out. I myself have been a part of the same situation on both sides and the way I see it your not in a position to do much other than take your lumps and move on til an opportunity presents itself if you even really want to bother.
If it were me, I'd probably just leave it alone and wait for the chance encounter and see how I felt about it then.
