Just tuned in to see Kasay missed another makeable field goal. They should have cut him after the SB Kickoff debacle

We're not in this game. Nobody's playing up to par right now.

ultra conservative playcalling doesn't breed competitiveness. It doesn't fix problems.
And always relying on the kicking game suggests that the kicking game must always be good.

Jake's not being accurate enough (I can't fault him necessarily for trying to hit a doubled Smith), but what the hell are we doing? Run run pass, run run run all first half but suddenly we're throwing deep every down?

Do they not get that we need to get yards consistently, rather than all at once?

Their margin of error is slim with such limited offensive options. If the running game isn't working, Jake can't be throwing flutter balls and Kasay can't be shanking kicks.

This definitely isn't the same team that showed up to play last week. Looks more like the crew that played in Chicago. I'm sorry.. they just ain't good enough to show up and have the other team roll over play dead.

Is it just me or has Kasay been more miss than hit the last several games?

Foster is cutting back too much. A couple of times it has taken him right into instead of away from defenders. Oddly enough, I think he's trying to be too patient, as his better runs have come from being more decisive and hitting the hole strong. Also, Jake is forcing the ball to Smith. Fortunately Steve saved an easy interception with a great play, and Proehl (or someone) was available just beyond the first down marker when Smith got knocked out.

Honestly it's not as bad as it feels. Some poor special teams gave Tampa great field position and our defense did a good job for the most part. If we correct the special teams and make some better decisions on offense, we should be able to get back in this game.

    Edit:
Also, looks like a ton of empty seats at the stadium.

Well, I'll still take a lousy play over a punt and a touchback. Need a 50 yd td next time with the ball. No way they can sustain a drive.
