Why do so many people here hate Atlanta?

I lived in Atlanta before moving to Charlotte in 1970. I pulled for the Falcons before we got a team here. The Falcons always lost and broke my heart. When we got the Panthers they put us in the same division. I immediately started hating the Falcons cause they still broke my heart...by beating my Panthers.

Yesterday had to be the most satisfying win we have ever had.

Three overtime losses. 41-0. 30-0. 4th and 12.

Lived in Atlanta for 3 years. Left 16 years ago. Don't miss it, never been back, and I only live 4 hours away.

I don't hate the Falcons, but I love it when we beat 'em.

Edit: By contrast, I lived in Philly for 3 years also. Loved it. Left 13 years ago. Still miss it in many ways, and have gone back numerous times, though it's a 12-hour drive.

I don't hate the Eagles. Was a fan back in the Ryan/Cunningham/Byars era (frustrating as that was). Still I loved it when we knocked 'em off in '03.

This goes way back to Reeves coming in and taking over for Jones, saying hes going to beat us up as a team. This goes to Chuck Smith's dirty scumbag play against us, then buttfucking this organization with his fucking injury and talking smack about it on radio.

This goes from Jessie Tuggle saying we were pussies to Keith Brooking saying that they looked forward to 2 automatic Ws in their schedule when they played us.

Chris, for you to not get it, and then make stupid statements like we would want Vick, and that we have little man's complex tells me youre a secret Falcons fan. THats cool, but go root for them. I would say you have the complex where you root for whats popular, and you're probably sucked up into the Vick hype and love him because of that. Great. Cool.

But dont ask why the fucking Panthers and their fans hate the Falcons. If you dont know the real history and the true bad blood that goes on behind the I-85 rivalry that got so nasty as early as 95 when we beat them with FGs in a brutal game that was dirty both ways, then hell with it.
