I think that the only reason he's still playing is that he can live at home and help his wife out with their son, so I don't know if he'd be willing to move.

Maybe Peete and Beurline would want to make some coin next year :thud:

    Flutie/Garcia = :barf2:

Not in Henning's "stretch the field off PA" offense.

Kitna? The guy who threw, what, six picks in a game with Seattle?

Batch might be allright, but not much on this list at all. I guess that's allright, considering I don't want to spend on a vet anyway.

Garcia was the highest rated passer on deep routes last season. He has a reputation of having a weak arm, but he manages to get it done regardless.

Yeah, didnt Garcia have a couple of 4K passing years in San Fran? I mean sometimes people refer to him as dog crap, but the guy can/could play in the right situation. Sort of like Warner only maybe with more left in the tank IMO.

I don't care how much money he makes, I can't believe someone with that face married a Playmate. But yeah, Garcia is grossly underrated. He was definitely helped by Rice and Owens in San Francisco, but he's never been one to turn the ball over much at all, and he is capable of making plays. People are just going to write it off as bias at this point, but I did favor getting Garcia when he was cheap last season instead of giving Delhomme that monster extension. I've always been a fan of buying low and selling high in all sports.

I know he's been around a while, but look where he's been, and what his position has been. He's been at the bottom of the barrel his entire career until he landed in Charlotte. He didn't even start in NFLE. So my guess is that he's never really had the kind of tutelage from a competent QB coach that a starter would have, or even a solid backup. He's a small school guy, too, so it's not likely he was even that well-coached at the college level. Plus, there's little denying he played better with Peete whispering in his ear.

I could very easily see Weinke lobbying hard to go to Detroit. He's from Minnesota, and the Lions are obviously in need of a starting QB. If the next HC isn't a WCO guy, all the better.
