What do you think is the norm for wireless connection rate? My wireless router has 3 walls to get thru for my laptop downstairs and add a floor when I go upstairs with it. Best case scenario I get 11Mbps. How am I doing and what if anything would you recommend

mine seems to hover around the 11 mps rate - it goes thru probably 5 walls (2 of them outer walls). if i move to a different location in my house, i can get up to 48 (it goes thru 2 windows at that point).

not sure it helps having 2.4 ghz phone systems as well.

I have a Lysis(SP) 615+. Would getting a boosting stronger antenna be worth the money (~40 dollars)
