We came out flat from the beginning, especially on O.

I had a bad feeling about this game all last week. I felt it was a trap game against a decent team who wanted to make a statement against us, and they did.

Our guys must have been reading all the power rankings and kudo articles and such, and believed the hype, again, like they have done in the past.
Sure, I guess they played hard, but they didn't play hard enough. Especially on O.

The D wasn't bad, really, but the Bears O ain't all that either. Give them real short field twice on int, and good field pos a number of times and they got only 13, well that ain't awful.

But our O looked as bad as I can remember. The O line sucked. Foster's pass was cover your eyes awful. Wharton absolutely sucked ass. The two int Jake threw weren't even good play D, it was suck ass pass twice, underthrown to Proehl. I'm not sure if Proehl was suppost to read 'blitz' (which neither were), and come up short (both passes he never looked back except to see the DB make the catch).

Our WR can't be expected to read 'blitz' and break off routes, when there aren't blitzes, just our O line getting punked by a front four.

The bears D is good. Very good, admittedly. But they didn't really cause the two int, as much as Jake/ricky fuked up twice. Sure there was pressure. But a good QB should be able to handle some pressure. Jake, unfortunately plays like a rook when pressured. He has done that since I can remember. It's just that most times, or half the time, a WR (Smith or Moose) mad a damn fine catch on a piss poor pass.

SHit, the 9ers scored more last week against the Bears D in 50 mph winds.
Our O was pittiful, and I saw no adjustments. None. A coupla max protect, yeah, and most times that's when Jake had a little time to throw, and lotsa times he still threw off. We didn't even go to three step drops (we did on a coupla occasions and were successful).

I figured we'd lose from the beginning, last week in fact, just because all the hype and shit. I hate being at the top of the poer rankings cause we let down when we;re there.

All in all, I hope this loss is good for the team. That's what I thought instead of being pissed all game, was I hope they learn from it, and actually deserve it, playing like they did.

Yeah, I was thinking back to the iggles and cowgirls games during 2003. I feel like if we do play them again, we'll beat them.

But all in all, what little confidence I had in them went down the shitter. Top tier team? (question to me last week, or before) Nope. As soon as things start looking real sunny, they lay a fuking egg (as usuall). I wonder if we're really pretenders. But, as an asside, there are alot of pretenders at the top of the standings in the NFC this year.

There were also in 2003. So there's still hope.

They best go up to Buf and take out some frustrations next week, or things are gonna get ugly real quick.

Yes. I read that before I posted even though my first post was not that bad, but its cool, overreacting is the norm around here.
