Better to get a good beat down and wake-up call in November than in mid-January. Look at what the Bucs have done since their beat down. I think the Panthers needed a game like this, and at 7-2, they could afford it.

there are a couple hundred better ways of saying that, some of which might not get you bitched at. I'll be back later to pile on.

Let me just say that this team probably did need a wake up call. There was a lot of talking going on after the Jets game like we were a lock for the Super Bowl. This team took a good smack to the mouth today, but please do not ever say you are glad to see a loss that just opens up a 200 post thread of bitching.

I'd rather not have lost, but I agree that the team needed a kick in the teeth. We are not tough enough right now for playoff football.

Fuck off. They didn't play well. They deserved to get beat. If they were a perfect team, they would have won decisively in every game so far. You all act like you thought they weren't going to have a bad game again this year. So don't roll your eyes at me. Your reaction tells me you might be more of a homer than I am.

Deserving to get beat and being glad to lose is two different things. Maybe you should think about your wording before summiting a post.

Yeah, the wakeup call part is valid. Problem is, what if there's not a solution? We've struggled in the past and "got by", like the O did last week. What if the O doesn't get better without a good running game to help support it?

I think there's a natural inclination to look toward the positive, and expect good to come from this bad. I think the "bad", more than anything else, is that this team is becoming Randy Moss. They play hard when they feel like it.
