...and their defensive scheme for him.

"what really interests me is how the corner talks, saying he thinks I'm an idiot and doesn't see it. He's telling me he's locking me down, when he's got like 5 guys back there helping him out, so....guys like that I just laugh at, cuz, you know, the coaching staff knows this guy is incapable of covering me, so he knows he doesn't want to get that guy in a situation where he may lose his job, like other people have done in the past."

...talking about what he saw from the Jets Defense.

"Ty Law is very good, he played his well, but if I went on the other side....I was running with LB underneath. There were a few plays with LB underneath, safety up top. Corners trying to press me. They come up with creative situations to double cover me, and draw guys underneath me, and it was effective this week."

I love the first one....Smitty was doin a whole lot of jaw jackin during the game, and in some of the video, you could tell he was owning the guy he was screaming at.....basically yelling back, you have to have half the D help you cover me....funny as shit.

I also think we ran the ball alot more and didn't have many balls thrown to him.

    Smith's 100-yard streak ends

Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith had his streak of 100-yard receiving games ended at four in the Panthers' 30-3 victory against the New York Jets on Sunday. Largely because the Jets focused so much defensive attention on him.

The Jets used tight coverage from a cornerback, usually Ty Law or Justin Miller, with help from a safety watching him out of zone coverage.

"I'm a reactor. I don't go into a game and talk," Smith said. "But if a guy says something to me, I'm going to say something back. I asked (safety Erik) Coleman if he was going to keep breast-feeding 22 (Miller). He just laughed."

Smith had three catches for 34 yards.
