Hurricanes come from 2 down again, score 5 in the third period and Eric Staal nets his first NHL hat trick as the Canes skate past Philly. Staal is now the NHL's leading scorer with 18 points from 9 goals and 9 assists in 10 matches.

What a match - the new NHL is here!

thats a nice win for them...I just wish they would take a lead, rather than play catch up.

    Still, thats 2 more points.

And a VERY long way to go. Let's not put their names on the Mug just yet.

It would be nice if someone in this area would carry the games on the radio :( :( . . . . . I wonder if they could convince WFNZ to carry the games on one of their signals ? ? ? ?

When I saw the final score pop up, I felt like I was back in the mid 80's again :D :D !!!!!!! Its only October I know, but so far the guys look good :) !!!

Sorry Trojan...not talking to you specifically...just sayin, that people I talk to in Raleigh have Cup fever, and the first month of the season isn't over.

    Cool?

Sure - but there was a lot of excitment at last night's match - never heard so much hollering after a match!

I think it is both being starved for the sport and starved for wins after the last few seasons. They are an exciting team to watch.

any 8-6 final will tend to do that to people, especially when they trailed by 2 goals.

the new NHL is fun to watch, but I liked the old one too.

I agree....I miss the goals being a special and rare thing. But I'll take 8 and be happy.
