Rosinski mentioned it enough to be annoying, but I'd imagine there was more to the story. I just think it's funny that a radio man thinks he actually deserved a ring. Solarte said he's a good guy, but he'd have to be awfully full of himself to think that he deserved a ring. And as I noted in another Rosinski thread, no one really thought he was that good until they let him go.

I don't know that Rosinski "demanded" (and no, Collin, I am not quoting you there, but that seems to be the perception of Bill) a ring, but considering he was the only PBP voice in franchise history, and had endured the highs and lows with the team, 1 ring wouldn't have been all that much for them to do for him, IMO.

Not only did he not play, but he had absolutely nothing to do with the coaching or preparation. It would have been utterly ridiculous for him to get a ring, and he was either incredibly arrogant or a damn fool to even think he deserved one.

again, i don't know that he felt he deserved one. I think it would have been a touch of class for them to get one for him. The Pats PBP guy has SB rings for all their titles (conference and championships) and I am sure he didn't purchase his.

Where did you get that information?

And if he didn't feel he "deserved" one, then why would he complain about it? Giving a ring to the play by play guy would be downright ridiculous, and would lessen its significance. If you give a ring to every ball boy and cheerleader and towel washer, they end up not meaning very much. And quite frankly, the play by play guy is no more significant to the team than the ball boy or cheerleader or towel washer.

he was a guest with Jim Szoke on the pre-game show before CAR-NE at BofA....heard the interview, and he said he only wears a certain year AFC Title ring on the road (I forget which one-might be the year they beat STL in the SB), claims thats the lucky ring. Although it didn't help them in Charlotte.

that's the thing, though. They do give it out to more than just staff and players. They give it out to more than just administration. They give it out to, I'm assuming, down to support staff. The only question is whether the broadcast staff was truly employed by the team at that point, or if they were employed by the radio station.

Your just upset that State is 1-4 in the ACC and Chucky Cheese Amato sucks as a coach. Stop hiding behind a Mick Mixon is aweful thread.

Is there precedence with other PBP guys elsewhere getting rings? If so, I suppose he's got a legitimate gripe.
