    * Head coach John Fox needs one more victory to surpass Dom Capers for most wins in franchise history.

    * Sunday's visit to Detroit will leave Baltimore and Cincinnati as the only two NFL cities the Panthers have never played in during the regular season.

    * The Panthers have won five consecutive games versus NFC competition outside the NFC South. Carolina is 15-8 versus NFC East, North and West teams during the John Fox era, including the postseason.

    * The Panthers have won five straight games versus the other "feline" teams (Lions, Bengals, Jaguars) since 1999.

    * The Arizona Cardinals became the first non-divisional opponent that the Panthers have defeated in three consecutive seasons.

    * Quarterback Jake Delhomme ranks fifth among NFL quarterbacks in passer rating over the past three games. His rating is 105.0 over that period. He has 8,205 career passing yards with the Panthers and needs just 102 more to pass Kerry Collins for second place in that category.

    * Through just five games, running back Stephen Davis has seven touchdowns, one shy of the team record he set in 2003. Davis has surpassed Anthony Johnson for third place on the Panthers career rushing list with 1,827 yards. He needs 175 yards to pass Fred Lane for second place and 704 yards to take the top spot away from Tshimanga Biakabutuka.

    * Wide receiver Steve Smith is fifth in the NFL with 33 receptions and sixth with 473 receiving yards. He is tops among all receivers with six touchdown receptions and is tied for first with Randy Moss and Jason Witten with 12 receptions on third down.

    * Davis and Smith are the top scoring duo in the NFL with 13 touchdowns and 78 points between them.

    * Wide receiver Ricky Proehl posted career highs with 164 receiving yards and a 78-yard touchdown reception versus Detroit (11/27/97). His 11 receiving yards last week on one catch put him over 8,500 receiving yards for his career.

    * With two picks Sunday, safety Marlon McCree became the first Panther to post more than one interception in a game since Chris Gamble turned the trick at Atlanta on 12/18/04.

    * Punter Jason Baker is tied for fourth with nine punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line.

    * The Panthers have gained 17 first downs via penalty while giving up just nine. Only Dallas (plus 10) and Minnesota (plus nine) have a better margin.

    * Carolina has won three straight games following a Monday Night Football appearance, the last two on the road.

    * The Panthers record through the first five games of a season under John Fox is 12-8, including 5-0 in 2003.

    * Carolina's record in October is 11-11 in odd numbered years and 4-18 in even numbered years.

    * The Panthers are above .500 for the first time since the end of the 2003 regular season.

    * Carolina is 3-7 in games before their bye week but has won the last two.

    * The Panthers are first in the NFL in red zone offense and fourth in third down efficiency. They have produced 12 touchdowns and two field goals in 15 trips inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and have converted 29-of-65 third downs into first downs for a percentage of 44.6.

    * Carolina is one of just four teams to have at least six interceptions and six fumble recoveries. * There have been 60 100-yard receiving games in the League through the first five weeks, the most ever at this point of an NFL season.

Looks like the stricter enforcement of the 5 yard rule is having the desired effect....

I had to do a double take on that too, cause we killed Cincy here a couple of years ago. But all that game was at home.

He was saying cities we haven't played in.
