    I think everybody was hyped on taking Hovan with our pick, at least more than half were hoping we would draft him. I remember being happy to draft Deon Grant. I didn't target Anderson with our pick, but tried to defend why we decided to pick him. I know that a few of the SF fans mentioned they were looking at CB and thought they might would take Anderson if available.

    I don't think too many sites had Anderson as being first round worthy. Most had him mid to late second, somewhat like Coclough in that he was a small college project with measurables. Kiper also went on and on about how Seifert just loved to draft small school projects to prove how smart he was (pot calling the kettle black, don't you think?).

    I thought Anderson was a rising guy, though. Late 1st wasn't that bad for him, IIRC. I still would've rather had Plummer, and we needed other things more than a CB at the time. We were caught balls-deep in a contradiction of building on youth and buying veterans.
