right? I mean, everyone's bitching about the D.

    O - 24th in the league. Defense - 18th in the league.

Neither has been "good enough" IMO. I want better play out of every player. But I'm not going to scapegoat this, that, or anything else when everything else is doing its part to win games, and to not win games.

The D is, obviously, low on turnovers, sacks, not great on 3rd down percentage, near the worse on penalties. It's gotta get better, sure.
It's also high on run D, still. Still high in TOP. Still damn good in yards/play.

I'm cautiously and minimally encouraged that Jake spread the ball around last week. Now if Colbert can continue to make plays, our offense might be slowly righting itself.

Well, good point, but thats like saying if you have two bad employees (which I currently do) I cant bitch about said one, because said two sucks also.

BUt said one has more potential, talks more shit, so I guess hes noticed more. And said one makes a lot of excuses, and says if we know anything about this job, wed know why hes not performing well.

I'd like to see more fast slants to WRs or RBs. One juke and a nice gain

    Not really.

I'm showing that as a team, we've not been as good as we need to be. To say it breaks down to this, that, or so on, is illogical when across the board we've not been what we need to be. The great thing about finger pointing, especially pre-determined finger pointing, is that it misses what's really wrong.

internet discussion and media hype has nothing to do with how teams play on the field.

Didnt say it did. Just saying yes, the offense isnt as good as it should be. Neither is the defense. Ive aired out my concerns with Henning this year. Ive aired my concerns with Trgovac. Ive also said when I thought both did well. Dont think either are awful, per say, dont think either are great.

As for the media making a difference about how teams play though, I dunno. Parcells in his book has said he uses the media to motivate the team. So therefor, Im happy theres been some negative press....I hope it pisses off this team. Pisses off the players that arent playing well, and theres too many of them.

Our offense has not played well at all. What are we? 22nd in the league in passing and 19th in Rushing? The run game has been going no where and Jake has made some poor decisions this year when our offense has been starting to move the ball. And even though Jake has made some poor decisions, he has also been put in some difficult spots because of lack of run game at times. It would be nice to open up some other options at WR or TE and I think Jake did that in the game against GB.
