Sorensen calls Bullshit on Panthers!

I cant stand Sorensen. Whether hes right or wrong, I do wish the team had the mentality of no excuses though, instead of coaches publicly coming out and making them, and players saying fans just dont know football.

 

Our problem isn't 3 step drop as much as it is 1 step Jenkins.

 

It's the three step drop combined with the 15 yard cushion that's killing us. We're being inched to death.

 

I cant believe that. Jenkins was there when the Saints were making us look like a defense that sympathized with NO's situation so much that we were giving away TDs.

Carstens has filled in vs. the run very well, moreso than I ever expected. Just because our DT goes down we cant let that mean our defense sucks so bad that our 6th ranked Run D keeps our overall D from being ranked 32nd....

I cannot keep accepting Jenkins being used as a crutch.

 

3 injured staters, theres a new excuse.

Expectation were clearly set to high for this team and everyone ate it all up. Reality appears to be setting in.

I am not giving up on this season by any means but to say that our performance hasnt been disappointing is nonsense.

In reference to the 3 step drop, why dont we put our corners right on the damn line to jam the shit out of people. Hopefully they do that at least with RMJ today.

 

That would be called adjusting. No, lol, we make excuses, rather. "Theyre three step dropping us, oh no, we might as well not blitz, not rush the passer because when you use the three step drop, its impossible to rush the passer, for those who KNOW football", right Minter??

Nope. Teams are three step dropping us, so we might as well pack it in. No reason to try to adjust. Were doomed. The dreaded......(drumroll)....THREE STEP DROP.

no one guy is not that important. But anyone who did watch that Saints game saw Kris Jenkins that was gonna dominate had he not gotten hurt. He was coming off the snap quicker than just about anybody i've seen so far this season. He was looking really good.

 

blitzing, and then not blitzing because of the 3-step, is adjusting. You might not like it, but it's adjusting.

And yeah, it really is hard to beat the 3-step blitzing. Just as it's hard for the 3-step to be affected by 4 men rushing. There's less blocking, and you should take advantage of that at times, but once you're in nickel, and they're going 3-step, no. You're not going to power them out of that.

 

He's not really asked to do much other than post his opinion. He could at least come up with some original columns, which now only consist of:

A) Attacking peoples perceptions of Charlotte being a World Class City.
B) Something about SUV's or feeding stereotypes of the south.
C) Lack of fan support at the game.

Same shit, new year.

 

Its not adjusting when the DC is saying we cant do this, we cant do that because of the three step drop. Either way, to blame the three step drop for all our problems is disguisting.
