Maybe. I don't remember hearing any direct quotes from any Patriots players against Belichick over Milloy's release, just media members saying that they had heard rumblings.

But let's look at it another way. I tell it like it is too, but how well do you think we would work together?

Or - hypothetically of course - How would Vince Lombardi handled Terrell Owens calling Bart Starr a homo?

It would matter because I'd be working in fantasyland.

    lol.

Back to the point, which is that Lucas didn't say anything disruptive. In fact, Witherspoon basically parroted those comments towards the end of that article.

Leaving practice early, and then shooting hoops in your driveway. That could be painted as disruptive, even though Philadelphia is 3-1, and McNabb and Owens have been outstanding.

I agree generally, but maybe he feels compelled by the silly things the others are saying, such as giving up big plays is out of character for our D (so I guess it didnt count, and they shouldnt worry about it). If some guys are making ridiculous excuses to the press, maybe other guys, leaders, need to counter. When people are satisfied, you have to do something.

At least he's saying WE need to do this and that, not "that other guy" screwed up. Sometimes its interpreted as leadership, and not bickering. I do think he just tends to run his mouth too.

Maybe Mint and others are saying similar things we just aren't privy to. However, in Mint's case.... he isn't playing well himself and to get on others' cases might get ppl thinking he doesn't have room to talk.

I think Lucas was brought here to be a leader and he is doing that on the field for sure. If guys resent him saying stuff publicly then yes, it could be a problem but there's only one way to keep Lucas from feeling this way and that's to produce on field results.

What a fucking leader. Im glad hes going to be on our team for years to come. He could eventually be the big difference in this defense, if we get good.

I cant state how happy I am to have him here. For so long now, with fans especially, its been so tabboo to criticize a coach, a team, a player, and for so long the problems have gone ignored it seems. If someone says we gave up, someone will come on and say youre not a fan. If someone says the coachings poor, someone will come on as a pseudo intellectual, and say you dont know the game, and that its poor playing, and that the coachings all in all good, which can be horseshit. When a team is playing poorly, and someone calls it out, someone will say youre whining, shut up, you cant be a real fan.

Well Im glad Lucas is whining. Im glad hes stating it like it is. Because this club is NOT good right now, the players arent playing near well enough, and the coachings not near where it needs to be. The two point conversion episode days ago was proof positive that we run a game like a bunch of dopes. How fucking brazen, how uncalled for, how fucking pathetic that was.

Im just glad Ken Lucas is whining as some of the morons in the Cheerleader Parade would call it. Im thankful for Lucas....

You do tell it like it is sometimes. Julius Peppers is the biggest thing I give you lots of credit for. You called out his play longer than I remember anyone doing, and it upset me for a while. BUt I was wrong about that, and I thihnk I knew inside I was wrong, hence why I didnt speak up. It just hurt to hear it. BUt it is a big problem, and its gotta be addressed. Hes got to improve on several facets of his game, and cant be ignored anymore.

However, Ive seen you give guys passes too, or be too hard on players. Calling Delhomme utter and complete garbage was one. You know in your heart you threw out a rash criticism that you probably dont truly believe. And your insistance that Trgo is every bit as good as a DC that Del Rio was in his one lone year is silly. Del Rio had his troubles, and wasnt a defensive God. Perhaps youre onto something that he was more smoke and mirrors camaflouged by brazen talk and a war general like attitude that the players fell for. Either way, he got better results than Trgovac is getting with less, and there is no way stats can say otherwise. We all simply know Del Rio was better for our D. Either way, its all irrelevant, so Im not one of those pimping Del Rio and waa-waaing ab out him being gone, because we didnt let him go, or drop him. The fucker got promoted to HC, and there is no reason to look back. Its foolish, and couterproductive. ANd Trgovac shouldnt have to be judged on someone else's job. However, Im tired of seeing poor coordination from a team thats inconsistent as it is, and with players who are shaky enough when things are going well.

    Example from the 'hole

If you want an example of what is wrong with the motivation side of things right now, how about this excerpt from today's Foxhole:

"On the Panthers after the first quarter of the season: We're average. We're 2-2. This next quarter, in particularly the first game of this next quarter against Arizona, is going to be a critical game for us. Just challenge the team to have the same preparation and mindset as they did a week ago.

This is total bullshit. Why in the world would you want to have the same prep and mindset as we saw at the end of the GB game? I have been an ardent Fox supporter up to this season, but he seems too satisfied to try to keep things close and eke out wins. That's fine if you have an untalented, overachieving team. We don't have either.

Thank god someone on the team recognizes this, and is not afraid to speak up.
