How do you synchronize the radio with the TV?

    When I say Rabbit Ears I mean an antenna. If you receive the regular signal broadcast over the airwaves then it might be ahead of the cable. Rabbit Ears are the two extendible antennas that you see on the back of a TV.

    There are two reasons for that. One has to do with the amount of time it takes for the sound to be generated by the loudspeakers and then reach your ears. Also there is a slight bit of delay added to the PA System to reduce feedback.

    The Ref Mic feed that Radio and TV gets comes straight from the output of the Ref Mic receiver.

    The local stations on Satellite TV are received here in Charlotte off the air and fed via Fiber to the Satellite TV Provider. In order to get as many channels on one Fiber as possible compression is implemented. The process of compressing and un-compressing takes some time so there's some delay added there. Delay is also added by transmitting the locals up to the Satellite.
