Well duh! Then just press fast forward on the remote for three seconds as soon as the game starts.

What you need is a DELAY of three seconds on the radio. Fast forwarding the TV broadcast won't get you ahead of where the TV network starts the broadcast.

    Or is that a joke?

Maybe the solution IS to get a flux capacitor that works.

I think that solution is beyond the limits of the current technology.

Well, you could go low-tech and record both broadcasts, avoid watching/listening live :lalala:, and then synch up the recordings for your own tape-delayed showing. Oh, and stay off TBR to avoid spoilers until you've seen the game.

I don't bother with the radio, but I do tape the games off TV Sunday (while I spend time with the wife and kids) and then watch the Panthers tape as the first game of my own Monday night doubleheader. It's a bit surreal (and why you don't see posts from me on Sundays), but actually kinda fun in a weird sorta way.

FYI...The delay in the TV feed comes from the multiple circuits from the stadium through the networks control room to the Satellite to the TV station to the transmitter to you. If you get your local station via DirecTV or Dish Network there is the added delay from here to the uplink to the Satellite to you...

It is very rare for TV feeds to be delayed for censorship. A delay capable delaying a High Definition TV feed 5 to 7 seconds would be very expensive. Fox would need 7 of them just for their games...

The Panthers do not delay the game broadcast but does delay the post game show.

If you really want to do it you can buy an audio delay just like Radio Stations use. I like the Airtools 6000 Link to Airtools It will cost you around $2000 but will do the trick...Feed your radio into the input, feed the output to your HI-FI, set the delay time and you are in business...

Another option is this unit...Delay Play Radio I have not seen one of these units in person but the description looks like it would work as well as the broadcast quality unit for only $140. Worth a look...

the delay never bothered me as much as having to listen to stupid TV commentators - too bad they've leveled the playing field with Mixon

    Thanks.

I think I'll try that Delay Play Radio thing.

Speaking of delays, if you listen to the radio broadcast in the stadium, you can actually hear the referee's call on the radio before it goes out over the public address system. I was really surprised.

I have noticed a difference between cable TV and sattelite TV. I was on the phone with my dad, who is on sattelite and I am on cable and I was ahead of him by a few seconds. Maybe if you are on sattelite and just use the rabbit ears you will avoid this?

I'm on cable. You're right, the satellite is a worse delay.

The cable used to be pretty close to the radio, but over the past couple of years, the cable has gotten delayed more, probably due to the numerous interchanges the signal goes through which probably invole a satellite or two.

I think the answer is to somehow delay the radio signal so that you can synchronize it with the cable TV signal.

    What are rabbit ears?
