That's true, there were quite a few empty seats when they panned the stands on television. Some of that very well could have been bathroom or concessions breaks, but there were still a lot of blue seats visible.

And mags, yes I know, but those mics are directional mics and wouldn't pick up the stands behind them. That's why I'm assuming there were additional mics somewhere that picked up the annoying people. It sounded as if the mic had to be located right in the midst of those people, which is what confused me. Maybe Dick and Dan had groupies in their booth, I don't know.

I was at the game today. Its impossible to leave your seat at half, go get a drink or anything and be back by the beginning of the 3rd. Best you can do is miss about the first minute of the 3rd, if you are further up, you miss about half the of the quarter.

so true, I got a beer and couldn't get back up to my seat before 3 minutes had gone by...you would have to leave before the end of the half to get back in time

It's still hot as hell out there, so I can't blame people for leaving periodically.

All I could hear during the first half was some dumb bitch yelling, "Hey Brady, hey Brady...your hot" as if he hasn't heard that one before.

    I hope someone killed her!

I went last week. The pat down was one touch to the waist. She did ask me to empty my pockets, because it was obvious I had stuff in them, like sunscreen, etc., but didn't touch me again to see that I had actually emptied them. They're just going through the motions now to meet the NFL requirements.

From Patriots.com:"The early going was much like the beginning of Super Bowl XXXVIII with both teams punching it out on defense. Crowd noise may have contributed to two false start penalties on the Patriots in their first two possessions but those false starts certainly didn't help New England's chances."Crowd noise may have contributed to two false starts

Yup, I ended up selling two upper level seats for $20 each for a friend just before the game.
