    another reason we lost:

You have to get the breaks. NO got more breaks than we did by far starting with the deflection that went right to their receiver. I could see it coming right then. You also have to get the calls. NO wins that dept too. For example, we get an illegal formation penalty for a helmet supposedly "breaking the plane" (wtf) and the review in the booth showed it was a real picky call.
Someone should chart breaks and bad calls in the stats. Everything counts.
The years we do good things break our way and we get the calls and have few injuries. You have to make the best of those years. That is how you get to the Super Bowl. Spending big bucks guarantees nothing.

I don't think the dead body posts are needed or appropriate at all. Sorry about that. Ricky Manning please don't get coaching from Doug Evans - on that last drive of the Saints had you turned your head at ANY point, you could have at least knocked the ball down and very possibly gotten an INT! TURN YOUR HEAD MAN!!! Refs stunk but bottom line a good team that plays well can over come penalties. We didn't play well. Defense was swiss cheese with or without Jenks - and I agree why was he back in!?!?!?! Jake was less then accurate and is going to get Smith killed before the season is over. As of right now, we ONLY have Smith as a WR because Jake isn't looking at anyone else much at all. Colbert isn't Moose - maybe he'll improve, but right now opponents aren't looking much past Smith.

Oh God! Between Vick and the Saints being the new darlings of the NFL, with all THAT will bring from the announcers, I think I'll puke now and get it over with.

The Panthers did not play well, but when they did, the Saints couldn't do much with them. The we'd just shoot ourselves in the foot.

I think all the Superbowl talk went to both team's heads in totally opposite ways. The announcers talked about how the Saints were tired of hearing it and I think the Panthers believed it.

Maybe it's our wake-up call and we got it out of our systems. Anyway, I'd love to be a lurker at the next practice to see how many new assholes get ripped.

Sure the coaches need to rip some asses and then they ought to take turns slapping each other and often. That includes Fox, Henning and Turgo. That team was not prepared.

Kinda surprised you didn't respond to these Mags. You normally are a big Rucker and Trgo supporter both. I have said for a while that both (especially Trgo) have been going downhill for a while. His argument about going in the shitter since Del Rio left is right on the money. We have lost ground statistically as a defense every year since he has gone. I'm thinking a Jimmy Johnson, Greg Williams, Romeo Crennel, et al, would whoop unbelievable ass with the personnel we have on defense. Trgo does not get it done. As for Rucker, I don't fucking know. Peppers makes plays, Jenks makes plays,. even Buckner and Wallace make some plays from time to time. Fucking Rucker is a ghost.
