to me the 1st string d did not impress me

looks like another year of a 30th rank in 3rd down conversions.

    were they coasting?

Well they were without 3 starters and I thought they did a pretty damn good job. Did Washington even get past the 50 on the 1st stringers?

Washingtons first team never really threatned and didnt score. I'll take that any day. Nothing to worry about.....yet.

I dont care if it was a high school football team, I look at it like we didnt have 4 starters we're likely to have on game day: Minter, Davis, Lucas, and Short. Short went out before the first snap I think, and he's probably gonna start, so till I see them all out there at once, I'm reserving judgement.

only team put in front of so far...

when is the last time you saw the Panthers get a turnover on the first series of a game and then following that, march down the field at will and score 7?

this is going to be the best defense this franchise has seen, best offense too

keep your hands inside the cart at all times, it's going to be a great ride

    Yep, and it was 28-10.

I wouldn't worry too much about last night's 3rd down stats. Most were given up by the third team defense, and a good number of those guys won't make the team. The starters looked pretty good in those situations.

This D is practically the same one that took us to the SB, except where we have upgraded. More depth at LB and a much upgrade at Corner and DBs in general. The team hasn't even started game planning yet, for heaven sake. This is insane.

A forced turnover and a 3 and out the first 2 posessions looked pretty good to me. After that they started subbing guys in. The Redskins moved the ball some, but that came after they startd subbing guys.

I'm not worried about the pass.

But the run, that's going to bother me some, when games matter.
