I noticed the D line with Rucker lined up as the right DT with Peppers as the right end. Jenkins was the left DT. I didn't catch who was the other end but it may have been Wallace. Anybody seen this alignment before?

I want to say I've seen that done, in injury times. I think they've used Peppers inside before, too. It's interesting, though, that with all that about Wallace (with some thinking Wallace could overtake Rucker, and Rucker having an "off year", in sacks only), that we didn't do this with Jenkins out. Rucker, technique wise, could handle a few rush snaps at DT, but either way some had considered Rucker less effective last year, and yet he still played ~90% of snaps.
    .
Might've been a matter of just lining four guys up to drill, no more, in this case.

Peppers lined up on Rucker's right during the second Atlanta game. Whether Rucker lined up at DT or whether Peppers just lined up wide of Ruckers normal position I cant remember,

I'm not sure it was Wallace. I didn't look. I was more interested in what Wharton was going to do with Peppers. (The play went to the other side). Before the play, Peppers was walking arround like he was going to play LB then he just gave Ruck a nudge inside and lined up at end. I hadn't noticed this happen before but it looked like they were semi used to it.

I'm willing to give Rucker a pass on last year due to the fact Jenkins was gone, but if he's given that pass, just imagine how phenominal Peppers year would've been had Jenkins been there as well.

    That part's tremendously interesting.

Sounds like they're preparing for the potential of having to keep blockers from keying on Peppers, or conversely using Peppers to draw blocks to create opportunities with the blitz.

It's good to have guys together long enough to where they can start getting creative, rather than trying to learn the system. Barring injury, this could be a fun year.

I am hearing that they've been using a 3-4 with Pep as a LB.

From the pics I've seen, it loos like Peppers has lost some weight - he now looks like a mega-sized WR.
