On my way to SoCal, I heard the San Diego Padres radiocast of their game tonight with the Cincinatti Reds, and the person doing the PvP was Matt Suared (spelling off). Was this a temporary callup for Jerry Coleman, who has gone to the Hall of Fame as a broadcaster or is this a promotion? Spending my time on the road, I don't get to hear Charlotte media unless I am in the area, and I'm on a cross-country run currently. Thx for information.

This was a short term callup, though I think its going to be hard to get Matt to come back to the QC after hanging out in Socal for the weekend :D :D !!!!!!

He was very good and smooth, he won't be in Charlotte long. At some point, Skip Caray and Pete Van Weiren will retire (Skip could in the next year), therefore an opening. Plus the NY Yankees has essentially one radio PvP announcer as Suzy Waldman doesn't call any innings.
