that's tremendously positive, considering the middle first round guys are dragging.

true but once they start signing, you know its a domino effect....14 signs....then 15, 13 gets a little more...ect...NFL rookie salary structure is needed. These guys need to be in camps, and not holding out.

alex smith fucked everything up. he has 24 mil in gauranteed money...which was a 20% increase from last year's number one. teams like to stay in the 10% range. plus teams can only prorate bonuses over 5 years max this year per the CBA.

Don't blame Smith, I'd take the money too.

    I think it's all Joey Harrington's fault.

i think it's kerry collins' fault. Until the end of time, I'll always blame anything wrong in the football world on him.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Carolina Panthers and running back Eric Shelton have agreed to contract terms.

Shelton, a 6-2, 246-pound running back from Louisville chosen in the second round of the NFL draft, is reporting to camp at Wofford College today.

His agreement leaves only Thomas Davis, a safety/linebacker from Georgia picked 14th overall in the first round, without a deal, and the team expects to complete those negotiations today. The Panthers have their first training camp practice Saturday morning
