Did anyone see the segment on SportsCenter today about Drew Rosenhaus? At one point you see him and Morgan talking about if things dont work out with the Panthers "there are a lot of teams" lining up for him... :blah: :imagestor

Morgan and Spoon are good LB's but Im starting to get annoyed with their contract negotiations.

Let 'em go! Especially Morgan! He can't stay healthy for one complete season.

Teams are 'lining up' to overpay an albeit above average MLB, who can't play a whole season and is about one tackle away from a career-ending concussion.

    pay spoon dump morgan

that's what I did on 2k5espn.....picked up roman phifer and branch from the patriots and traded morgan and colbert....best damn move I've made....besides signing Moose and then trading him to denver for Lelie for a shitload less money.

Let them line up and fight it out. He is gonna continue to have concussion worries and it would not surprise me to see him have to give it up because of this, IMO. Sad for him, a shame, but we don't need to give huge money to a guy with such an iffy future.

You can really do a screwjob to other teams on Madden. I have a mythical defense for the Arizona Cardinals in year 2007. Mostly by picking up all the big name free agents during the signing perios and then trading them for the players I want who are cap friendly.

    The worry factor:

I've looked on the Lb situation as one of concern all off season. Morgan worried me alot the way he played last year. The 03 year was a much better one for him but we need a MLB who is much more consistant. I think he will be easier to replace than Fields at SSLB. Overall, that seems to me to be the weak spot of our D. I thought that way before there was any talk of Morgan holdout. Fuc'em, I say let him play for a contract this year and if he wants to hold out instead; let him. He can't win and the agent knows it. If he holds out, then his value automatically goes down. If he plays hard for a high value contract, then he most likely gets hurt and he diminishes. If he plays soft, then he dumps. His best shot is to play tough for this very good Panther team and hope he last.

I would just as soon go forward with the notion that they will both be gone. Davis should be able to step right in and play WLB in Spoon's spot. That leaves us with MLB and SLB to fill for the long term. Maybe we draft one of those positions high next year and get Draft or Short to step and fill the other spot.

I agree though let them play out the year and then decide what to do with them.
