When I was in college in Miami, I could pick up WBT and listen to Hornets games. I thought they had some serious East/West reception issues though.

What makes you think Sirius will not be around?

I think they have over spent to gather programming.

XM spent more on MLB than Sirius did on NFL, NBA, NHL, and the English Premier League combined.

But...Sirius will spend around 21.5 million a year for NASCAR, 7.5 million a year for Martha Stewart and here is the kicker 100 million a year for Howard Stern. In order to pay for Howard they have to generate 1 million new subscribers per year for the life of the contract. That doesn't cover the cost of NASCAR/Martha or the NFL which by the way barely moved the subscriber needle.

They are N-S directional to protect 1110 KFAB/Clear Channel in Omaha NE, which is also a clear channel station (signal and company name in this case).

I have gotten WBT as far west as Columbus OH before I get interference.
