Updating an ongoing storyline, ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the New England Patriots have agreed to the terms of a two-year, $4 million contract with free agent LB Chad Brown (Seahawks) that will pay him $1.5 million this season. The contract includes another $500,000 in incentives he can make based on playing time and performance.


That and Ike Hilliard signed with Tampa for vet minimum.

 

people gotta stop giving the Pats the free passes.

 

What does that mean?

 

means he could have probably gotten more elsewhere. I guess Brown thinks they are going to threepete and get him a ring

 

the cheap trade for Dillon, having Vince Wilfork fall to them, Brown for a song, that sorta stuff. You'd halfway expect that, after arbitration, Terrell Owens will be reassigned to them for cash.

 

I know the Saints wanted him, so something about this is positive.

 

The Pats operate like damn Wal-Mart. Cheap but damn results. Bang for the buck definately.
