Are you sure it wasn't from injury. Didn't he say he's had issues with it since his Washington days.

I think what he meant was from a major injujury like Foster's ACL. Davis most certainly has tweaked his knees a bunch which does cause damage.

He ran on it fine in 2003. It didn't surface until 2004. he did have some knee issues in 2002, but obviously hindered him all 2004, and not 03. It's wear.

microfracture is a whole different thing then just getting your knee scoped. a friend of mine f-ed his knee up last summer. his was in a way, worse as he had to have a cadavers ligament put in his knee. but he also had to have micro-fracture surgery. and his doc is the same doc for the Panthers, Dr. D'dlessandro or whatever. hes not much of a sports fan, so I told him about Davis and Foster.....and about Jeffers. it really is an odd procedure. doc told him had it just been the ligament, even replacing it he could have been rehabing it in like 6-8weeks. because of the microfracture, the wait time is a really long time. my friend can get around fine but physical activity is a different ball game. hes not playing football, he skateboards, and that is about as hard on knees as it gets too.

If he's anything like Foster, the repaired knee will weaken his collarbone. :woohoo:

It would be great if he comes back and plays well, but I'm not going to read too much into that article. If he plays, fine. If not, we'll settle for Foster. If not Foster, Shelton. If Shelton gets hit by a bus or eaten by a lion, we'll settle for Goings.

Injuries no longer phase me after '04. :woohoo:

Being prepared is a big part of it. Whether or not it seemed to be a need this time last year, I bitched endlessly about having no back depth. And then roughly the worst case scenario unfolded.
If we'd made a pick like Shelton last year, we'd have been pretty badass. Even just a crap back like Mewelde Moore, for that matter.

If one can call Smart back depth, we were pretty prepared. I thought. Worst case for sure. I kind of feel like if we'd drafted Shelton last year, something probably would have happened with him too :banginghe
