How about Foster to Arizona for Shelton and then a third rounder to Buffalo for Henry?

We keep Foster and draft his replacement in round 2 IMHO. Not many teams out West need a back besides AZ(they might draft one.... SD, Oakland, Denver, Seattle(If Salex resigns), SF all have thiri backs or atleast alot of money tied up at the position.

I would prefer to get a quality guy to carry the load for this season. I think the chances of Davis not returning and Foster having another season ending injury are just too great for us to go into the season like we are. We have a team that can win a championship and I do not want to see that team held back by the lack of a quality tailback.

Buffalo wants a second for Henry.

Personally I think the RBs after the big three are pretty overrated. Unlike previous years I don't see any that truly tickle my fancy, so if we did get one I'd prefer it be in the fourth round or so. That's why I'd really love it if one of those three fell to us. Heck, I wouldn't mind moving up a little.

I would love for that to happen. I would rather have any of the big three than to have Henry but Henry would be better than what we have now.

I wonder if we could move Rucker to Seattle for Alexander. Would that free up enough cap space to sign Alexander?

Amen. He only plays hard in contract years. Thelt, the problem in Seattle and league-wide is not the contract, although that plays a part. The main problem is that they don't think he particularly wants to help the team. Pass.

Agree that we keep Foster and look for his replacement midrounds. If one of the big 3 slips, maybe we draft them, even Benson. (although I still am uneasy about that.)

I was disappointed to here the Foster comments. Maybe he meant if he didn't resign with the Panthers, and that he would love to stay in Charlotte.

Uhm ... no. Alexander doesn't have the best attitude, but we have got to get a grasp on the difference between a guy being surly and/or selfish, and someone who doesn't give full effort. Same goes for Edgerrin James. If contract concerns weren't a factor, every team in the NFL would go after both of them.

I don't see a real point in trading Foster. He's not "proven", in that he can't stay on the field, but two things are certain: we need a future at RB, and Davis probably won't play much if at all. To start the season without one starting level player would be against the basic ideal of this franchise - Goings, spending too much on a rookie roleplayer, and hoping Davis can be ready? That's not gonna work.
