It's not at all that what he did was so horrible. It's that he's really never stood out for anything else, other than being our starting center.

So now when I think of him, that's the first thing that pops up.

Are ya'll saying i'm the only one who will associate him with steroid use before the Superbowl?

Very few O-Linemen EVER really stand out, but when they don't its a good thing.

No. what I will be thinking is; will it be a disadvantage to Mitchell not having roids when the opposing linemen do ?

I will be wondering if he can play worth a crap without the roids.

Steroid use is widespread whether people want to admit it or not. It was widespread even on my Texas high school 5A football team back in the mid to late 80's and is probably even more so now. I know from first hand experience.

Steroids don't make you "worth a crap." They only make you do what you already do better. They cannot teach balance and footwork.

If we lose our center, it would suck. But I expect we would probably then draft Baas first round, which is the silver lining, I suppose.

All this stuff about Mitchell. 'kay, he's guilty. But I'll bet he was fighting fire with fire.

If he's on the team that gets us back to the Superbowl I'll quickly forget the steroid use. Most others will also.
