Stats don't specifically say one way or the other - he had about 50 tackles total, which is allright for a part time starter, and 2 sacks/6QBP (Buckner had 3.5/14).

He'll have to significantly up his strength. I want to say he was at 22...we don't really sub that way, 1st+2nd, v/s 3rd, for DL. But yeah, would I rather have him rushing than playing the run? yeah.

This doesn't mean that he can't or couldn't become a starter. But we need a DT, and I don't just want a guy who can beat out carstens.

BTW, while I have the team stats up, holy crap Muhammad scored more total points than Kasay.

ty, i put a lot of careful work into that. ;)

yes you did. i happen to think WR is more important than OL. i know that i could get beat to death on that idea and just wanted to say that you and everyone else could very well be right. in my current emotional stat, it's very likely i'm wrong but won't give a s' so there's really no point in anybody trying to talk logic to me.

funny ... that type of answer has infuriated the hell outa me over the years when my wifey used it. can't believe i'm doing the same s' now.

don't disagree at all. i started out this offseason thinking it was where i'd like to spend our #1 but it doesn't seem there's anybody that's worthy. my fear is that with the seemingly lack of quality DTs in draft, you're gonna be reaching bigtime if you take one on the first day. if so, do you think we are that desperate?

weird mixture of words. used individually, i think "holy" or "crap" could be a great adjective for Moose, depending on your liking. together, i'm not sure they fit well unless you're using them in dynamic duo sense.

i think OL is more important than WR right now. i'm assuming smitty is 100% in august.

I did say that I felt like we needed a left tackle more than a WR.
I didn't say that we didn't need better WR talent. Way back, after your 'december' thing, I said "I agree we could use more talent at WR.".

We do have Smitty. We do have Colbert. That's roughly enough. Proehl probably won't contribute a ton - so that's where a WR could come in. And I'd as easily take Colbert or Williamson as an OT right now, in the first. But I don't want to see a top 15 player in street clothes the way Colbert was until Smitty got hurt.

I've seen Baas ranked as a 3rd rounder in several places. I doubt we draft him at #14. But I do like him alot in the second round.

I think we draft 2 OL. I think Mitchell will be gone. If not this year, then next.

I agree here, even if we have to move up to get Baas in the 2nd. It seems the value is better at WR over OT in round one. The problem is it's the same situation in the 3rd. It's probably safer to get an OT 1st. It would be nice if someone was lusting for that 14th pick.
