Which two guard could he not have handled? I guess you'll answer Jordan. Maybe the aforementioned Knight will let us borrow Dan Dakisch (sp?) for a night.

I referencing a typical Smith bow-out to an inferior foe in the NCAA's in case some of you have blocked out that memory.

    idiotic. damn. but, for fun.

    hurley
    j williams
    grant hill
    battier
    laettner

duke's players from the 90's and after could take uncc's all time best and shit all over them. if you can honestly think differently, you are delusional and should seek guidance from a professional who most likely would not be getting paid enough to deal with your dumbass.

    end of discussion.

And you're a fucking idiot for posting that. henry Williams' team was tied with Hurley, Grant & Laettner with 2 minutes left @ Cameron.

That was just Williams and frosh Lang. Lang absolutely abused Laettner & Comapny that game. He had close to 30 points and about 15 boards.

    Next stupid shit theory. :blah:

man if the whiners never cease to amaze me. The only arguement they even have here is that the UNC players NBA careers don't count. As if somehow the fact they had NBA careers that were so much more dominant than their UNC careers indicates they weren't really that good in college.

Worthy won three NBA titles but somehow that means he wasn't as good in college. Jordan was God in the NBA but because he only scored 20 a game at Carolina it means he wasn't really that good.

Hello? He led the ACC in scoring two seasons. He was NATIONAL player of the year. As a COLLEGE player he would have kicked the ass of ANY UNCC player you throw out there. This isn't a battle of stats - its a battle of players. Some of the "great" UNCC players were THE MAN on their team - they put up great stats because they got all the looks. Many of UNC's great players shared the scoring with other great players. Is there any doubt that Jordan would have scored 25-30 a game if he played on a team where he was always the first option?

And there is a very conspicuous player missing from the UNC team - Antawn Jamison was a three time all ACC selection - he was also a national player of the year. Yet somehow he isn't on the list above of all time great UNC players. He is just "another" UNC player that would ( and did) kick UNCC ass.

ANd don't give me crap about not watching UNCC play - I saw several games of the 1976 and 1977 team play on TV - I know how good Cornbread was and pulled for them through the NIT in 76 and the great run they made in 77. I also went to many UNCC games when I lived in Charlotte and know how good Dinkins, Lang and Henry Williams were. But to try and stack them up agaisnt UNC greats is laughable at best.
