If you Knight had anywhere close to the talent that Smith had, you're a complete idiot. And I'm not a Knight fan, but I do think he is/was a good coach.

Wanna talk about a program with no pros....

You said that Henry couldnt measure up to Phil Ford. I called bullshit on you. End of story.

Henry was everything you want in a college bball player. Played four years, all conference, POY, AA, USA basketball, gives back to the school, speaks highly of his time here, and is truly solid citizen. He also was an incredibly gifted 2G who could handle anyone you are discussing throwing at him. I watched him play for four years. I watched him play Duke when Hurley, Hill and Laettner were there. I know what he could and could not do. You don't, but you strut around like a jackass know it all, without a conscience.

When i first heard that cedric or whoever made that argument, I laughed, because, yeah, overall, there's been a ton more talent that has rolled through UNC-CH. But then I thought about it, and that only matters if you are filling out a football sized roster. If we took 13 of your best against 13 of our best, then probably your 12th & 13th guy would be better than ours, but then, they wouldn't touch the floor, would they?

Maxwell has an inflated opinion of himself and the players of his generation, but he is right - that would be one hell of a matchup. I'd love to see Dink running the point in that game. That'd be fun.

You of course, have no idea who Dink even is. Hurry up and google the hell out of it and maybe you'll get lucky. But you're an "expert" on this subject. Whatever.

I know who Dinkins is and I know that Kenny Smith or Phil Ford would easily punk his ass. I also know that anyone who thinks that Henry Williams is as good as Ford or Smith (much less Jordan or Scott) is a loon. But go ahead and pretend that because you have one guy who can at least be considered favorably that all 12 could.

Shouldn't DaveW be watching his team get punked by a 12 seed?

    Based on what? Your OPINION?

If you think we only have one guy that compares, then that says all I need to know about you. :lalala:

Earth to vp: YES, your shit does stink.

lmfao. Obviously based on my opinion (and about everyone else's). Just curious, what are you basing your comparisons on? The real, live game that they all played in your fantasy world? Did you tivo it?

    Empirical evidence.

I actually watched all of the players play, most of them in person. I've seen the '77 Niners team play on ESPN Classic and on tape.

You're basing your opinion on a misbegotten sense of superiority. No one denies that the Tarqueers have had a greater number of top players. But you cannot bring yourself to even consider that over the past 25 years that the Niners might have had a dozen of them too. It must fuck with your sense of self worth or some kind of immature psychosis like that.
