    Hole at SS = draft?

In the 3 years since Fox came, we've drafted 2 first day Corners, signed Lucas, released Grant, started Branch.

Our secondary better be improved this year.

it is, on paper. But that's why they play the games.

could go either way SS or FS with the draft. If they find a FS move Branch or possibly draft a SS straight up.

Should not be too hard to find a guy on day two of the draft who can be an adequate backup to Minter.

two man-cover corners that fit the new rules, a starting-level ballhawk at nickel? A bit more agressive player at FS? Yeah, we should be better. We got, technically, production out of everyone but Hawkins, and we've improved starting CB, nickel CB, FS. My only hope is that we can keep up the turnovers without continuing to suck on 3rd down.

Yeah, SS = draft. A Jamaal Brimmer would fit, and a ton of safeties ran slow so there should be one there in 5 or 6.

jerome carter, fsu -- his claim to fame is being fast. great closing speed. he used it a lot to chase down guys running for the end zone when they blew past the bad coverage.

If all this pans out like it should our defense is going to rock. If we get Fields back then we are gonna be pretty solid all the way around. Having Manning play the slot receivers on third down should help a lot with our past problems with giving up conversions too often.
