If I didn't love Moose I wouldn't be upset he's gone, but all that shit we overlooked went out the window with the roach clip when he signed elsewhere in less than 12 fucking hours...

Bears tampered. That's what I think. And Moose gave lip service to the fans and to the media because who really knows how long he's known he had a deal somewhere already

besides Smitty don't count in this. He ain't been here that long and contract time said it out loud...didn't really matter where he played

I'd say the consistent and constant question of why Moose had a great year when money might've been on the line, but not a peep out of anyone for Smitty's contract year, would be telling. And the consistent blame of Muhsin for this drop or that drop, when we really don't hear any criticism of anyone else in that manner but Foster, for fumbles. Just an odd duality that means it's not a big deal if Smitty cleats a Texan in the nuts, but it's absolutely horrible that one practice, Moose put "D-Coy" on his helmet because he wanted the ball more.

Don't get bunched up. It's not on you. But these things have come up on Moose, and I look at our other receivers and see some of the same things.

    Bears sound pretty excited...http://www.chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=6899

Muhammad chose the Bears over several other teams that were in hot pursuit of his services in part because of telephone conversations with Lovie Smith and Ron Turner.

I just find it odd. Several teams? Not even a "well let me sleep on it"?

"Right off the bat they were the team that expressed the most interest in me," Muhammad said. "Anytime you get the head coach and offensive coordinator calling and they are really jacked up and excited about getting you on the ball club, that really goes a long way to show their interest and I want to be somewhere where I'm wanted.

"They were interested in me and I wanted to go to a team that wanted to feature me and promote me and (where) I could be a big part of the offense. I think I can be that here."

    then this

"I'm going to do what the team needs me to do to be successful and I'm not going to complain much about it," he said. "I'm going to catch balls, I'm going to block, I'm going to be physical out there. I just hope that my leadership skills prove to be the thing that is most valuable."

I don't think he wanted to be here. I think after all the shit that's gone on here, he wanted change. And I don't think he & Smitty liked each other anyway. I think Moose wanted out.

Added general manager Jerry Angelo: "The timing was good because everybody's under one roof here. His agent was here and we were able to visit with him. We met through the night and got it done."

The agent, Joel Segal, recently worked a new contract with the Oakland Raiders for Jerry Porter.

"Muhsin is excited to take a leadership role and be the go-to receiver and help the Bears win," Segal said.

nothing but speculation on your part to suggest he had been talking to the bears

Why all of a sudden the concern with pot smoking?

he had a thing here working with delhomme. i really think next year both smitty and moose woulda had 1000 yard seasons.. oh well, i'll miss him but i think its fucked up that (IMO) he really didn't want to stay here b/c of wanting to be the focus of the offense.

he was a great #1 this year and a great #2 last year when he and jake got in sync later in the year. he didn't complain about being #2 and did a helluva job. he obviously wants not only to be paid like a #1, but to be the #1. he wants the attention, the money, the responsibility.... and he believes in himself enough to think he can handle it and he showed this year he still can. he wasn't going to be the #1 guy here, but probably would have stayed with #1 money, which we weren't going to give a #2.

i don't see anything wrong with anything from either side, his or the FO's. i hate he's going to be playing up there in winter time, but whatever, if he does well he'll be a god unlike anything he could experience in charlotte. if he doesn't perform he'll be demonized unlike anything he could experience down here as well.
