Star Cavs' soph LB to stay in school... The NFL will have to wait another year to get star Virginia sophomore MLB Ahmad Brooks in a pro uniform. Brooks announced late last night that he would be back at school for at least another year. Brooks is the second Virginia underclass LB to return to school after junior OLB Daryl Blackstock indicated earlier this month that he too would be back for one more year.

In March when Shazor rockets up to a top 20 pick, I want him in a Carolina Panthers uniform come April. He's the guy I want playing dime filling in for Morgan on the 3rd. and long. He's the guy I want running gunner on kick coverage, He's the guy I want to be tutored by Minter for 2 season's before taking over as SS.

If he's subbed for Morgan, wouldn't that make it a quarter defense?

6-9 Auburn junior OT Marcus McNeill who will be back with the Tigers next fall. McNeill indicated that the NFL's special draft advisory board suggested he might not go higher than the 3rd round if he entered this year's draft, prompting McNeill to go back to school to try and elevate that grade.

Texas junior DT Rodrique Wright, a potential top 10 pick had he opted to enter the 2005 draft, announced today that he will return to school next fall for his senior season. Wright was joined at his announcement by teammate, junior DB Michael Huff, who also said he'd be back in orange next season. On the other hand, Oklahoma junior FS Brodney Pool has reportedly filed the necessary paperwork with the NFL to be included in this year's draft; its possible, though, that Pool, who would likely be the second rated FS in this year's draft class after Georgia junior Thomas Davis, may have left the door slightly ajar to withdrawing his application. Underclassmen who do apply to the league for early entry to this year's draft have until Tuesday to withdraw their applications, as long as they have not yet signed with an agent. - GBN

Tight end, if he can catch. I seriously doubt he'd ever make it as a QB, though. Too bad, really. I like him, too.

anyone heard of a safety named Davis? Some guy named Collin took some time off from his final fantasy forums to pimp him in a locked thread. So what's the deal with Davis?

    Brown & Browner

I bet Brandon Browner is one of those kids that rockets up the boards this year and from much that I have found he’s got all the measurables and upside to be considered in the top half of this crop. By draft day he could be listed by most as a FS and challenge both Davis and Pool. Potential star center fielders seem pretty rare and are definitely in demand. I’m starting to warm to Browner as possible competition to Elton Brown to be our first pick.

I wouldnt mind havent him at all. Great cover guy, can tackle, and has the size, speed, athleticism to be awesome at free safety.

The only concern I have with a guy like Browner, is his coming out after his Soph season. Those guys are more miss than hit.
I'd maybe look at a guy like him in the third, but not before that. Then again, there is no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL draft. See Tom Brady vs. Ryan Leaf.
