While he can rub some people the wrong way, and I will admit he is a bit of a prick, I can't say enough about what Jim Mora has done. This defense could not tackle a thing last season. They could not run the ball. They could not defend the pass. Their special teams unit was a disgrace.

Im sorry but Dan Reeves could have done the same thing had Vick played last year. that team rolled over like a bunch of dogs when vick went down. the one game he comes back in (against us on espn ) they step it up and play good. vick goes out the next week and they suck again.

Fuck the atlanta falcons!!!!!! :bird5: :bird5:

I'd like the Falcons if so many people wouldn't kiss Vick's ass so much. Hell I don't think I even have as much a problem with Vick as I do the people that suck up to him so bad. I think he's a hell of a runner. I don't think he's a great QB. He's average. He's got the arm to be great, but he runs too much and can't become a great QB because he won't wait that extra second that's required to get off a good pass. He'll take off running first. But everyone keeps touting his as the next great QB.

    Win/Win scenario

I don’t care much either way but I guess if I had to go for either I would probably prefer Philly to finally win an NFC championship game . . . IMO there’s no better victim than the most hated falcons to get this close and not make it.:evil3:
However, I also would not mind seeing the Steelers (or even the Pats) beat Vicklanta in Jacksonville. Then our division will once again have to be recognized as no joke in the NFC, AND it will be the falcons turn to have a non-winning season in ’05 and miss next years playoffs. :bird4:

I'd like to see the Eagles finally get one, but I'm going to be in Philadelphia the week before the Super Bowl and I REALLY don't want to deal with the hype.

I would agree with you if they played the season the way they played this past weekend. Truth be told, they were very hot and cold this year, and lucked their way into alot of those wins. I do give credit to a greatly improved defense and special teams.

One crucial ingredient that Mora has brought is a higher level of discipline. That, and he taught many of the carry-over players (especially on defense) to play hungry.

I don't think, though, that Atlanta is a great team this year, though. They've got some components set up to be a great team in the future - that developing D-line, a speedy return man with some good, disciplined ST blockers, a 1st round rookie CB who got playing experience this year, the running of Dunn, and the emergence of Crumpler.

It's been interesting watching Vick play this year, as much as I hate the guy. He just doesn't seem to have the vision to consistently be a reliable pocket passer (and I hope he never develops that vision). It seems to me that he finds the open receiver most frequently when he rolls out and "creates" the openness with his threat to run. At the same time, he seems more comfortable throwing when he's out of the pocket. He's shown more of the wuss factor in the past month or so (starting with the last Panthers game) in that he is increasingly likely to get upset when he gets hit. If Philly plays him real physical, I wouldn't be suprised to see him commit a personal foul attacking someone for laying a vicious but perfectly legal hit on him (then again, the refs may never call a foul on the Vickhead).

I want to see Atlanta win because I like Vick and I want to see some of you cry and whine over it for the next 6-8 months. If I am lucky, maybe they'll bring in the ESPN announcing crew just for this game.

That would be almost as good as Pitt winning it all.

I hate both teams but I am pulling for Philly. I can not imagine the way Vick will be hailed and worshipped on ESPN if they win. It would be funny if Philly did lose four straight championship games so either way is fine as long as the AFC is dominant in the superbowl.
