Peppers ended the season 2 behind Ricky Manning in passes defended, and 1 behind Colin Branch.

Peppers stat line is fucking sick.

64 tackles, 11 sacks, 2 INTs, 7 PDs, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 2 defensive TDs, and INT/Fumble return yardage of 203 yards.

As Lee Corso would say "He-can-do-it-all, and when he gets in the open field...schwwiick...dah dah dah."

First in INTs for a DL, first in INT ret yardage for a DL (6th overall in the NFL for a defender), 2nd in PDs (9 per nfl.com), tie for 9th in sacks, 12th in tackles, and so on.

The first year, I questioned his work ethic. But this year has been something. Julius has caught the eye of so many teams with what he has done on the field. I was having a conversation the other day concerning him. They wanted to know if he was really that good. I said, "Yes, and more!"

I think the key to Pep is keeping him motivated. I don't think it's like Randy Moss, who conciously doesnt give a damn, but I think what really pushes Peppers is to prove folks wrong. When the national hype about him (and the d-line as a whole) was so huge after last season and going into this season, I think he got a little complacent. Once we were the laughing stock of the league at 1-7, he started playing like a mad-man. We've got to find a way to keep up that intensity, or at least keep him on his track of "redefining the DE position" and not let the "vick on defense" talk get to his head.

I don't see that at all. It took the whole team 8 games to come together, so I don't think you can single out Peppers for being "complacent."

I want to see something that says the dumbass still thinks we should have picked Harrington.
